Saturday Night Live has been around for over 40 years, entertaining audiences with hilariously funny comedy sketches, memorable musical performances, and a lineup of celebrity hosts that keep viewers coming back week after week. But surprisingly, some of the biggest names in entertainment have yet to take the SNL stage.

For a show that’s been on air since 1975, featuring hundreds of high-profile hosts from Hollywood icons to chart-topping musicians, it’s almost unbelievable that these five major celebrities have never hosted. We’re talking about massively successful and widely beloved figures who have dominated red carpets, box offices, and pop culture conversations.

With SNL season 51 expected to start airing on NBC in the fall, it would be amazing to see these stars finally take the spotlight as hosts at Studio 8H.

Beyoncé?! Yes, that’s right. The Grammy Award-winning singer has not hosted a single episode of the popular late-night live sketch comedy show despite being one of the most iconic and influential performers of the 21st century. However, she has appeared on SNL multiple times. In November 2008, she appeared as a musical guest with Paul Rudd as host on the eighth episode of the thirty-fourth season. She performed some of her hit songs like “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies.”

Honestly, it’s surprising that Will Smith has never hosted an episode of SNL. Given his background in comedy, he seems tailor-made for the SNL stage. What’s even more surprising is that he’s never appeared on the show at all, not even for a cameo. However, other people on the show, particularly comedians like Chris Redd (who was a cast member), have impersonated him during comedy sketches.

Angelina Jolie might not have a background in comedy, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t be a fantastic SNL host. Like Will Smith, she hasn’t made an appearance on the show either. Who wouldn’t want to see this Academy Award-winning actress take on hilarious sketches and show a different, more playful side of her talent that fans rarely get to see? I know I’d be tuning in eagerly to catch every moment!

Sandra Bullock has been gone from the entertainment world far too long, and while we can’t wait to see her in the upcoming Practical Magic 2, we’re also hoping she soon makes her SNL hosting debut. She has been in her fair share of laugh-out-loud comedies, proving time and again that she has the comedic chops and impeccable timing to light up a live stage. So, why hasn’t she graced Studio 8H yet?

Another shocking name missing from the SNL host roster is Rihanna, and it’s a huge missed opportunity. We’re talking about a multi-talented powerhouse who has a magnetic stage presence and a surprisingly sharp sense of humor. She’s already familiar with the show, having had multiple musical guest appearances. So it only makes sense that she takes the mic as host next. We can already imagine the funny sketches. SNL is known for its viral moments, and we could see Rihanna delivering some of the most hilarious and memorable ones yet.
