TLC Home Watch participates in national event

TLC Home Watch announced its participation in the third annual National Home Watch Month. According to estimates, there are as many as 10 million second and vacation homes in the U.S. and Canada, with many in this area.

Home Watch is a risk mitigation service that visits the unoccupied properties of seasonal and part-time residents who leave their homes for extended periods of time reporting any issues they find, thereby reducing insurance claims and undiscovered damage. Widseth’s Kara Sharp becomes registered architect

Widseth’s Kara Sharp, RA, has officially become a Registered Architect, licensed by the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design.

Sharp will be working in Widseth’s Hibbing office, but will assist with jobs in the Alexandria area as well as other office locations.

Sharp works on a wide range of project types, including educational facilities, government buildings, multifamily housing, and more. Her strengths lie in her attention to detail, proactive planning, and clear communication, Widseth said. Her deep understanding of the design process and commitment to client service make her a valuable asset to any team, the firm said.

Andrea Allyn appointed president of national orthopedic execs

Andrea Allyn, MBA, ATC, of Heartland Orthopedic Specialists has been appointed president of the board of directors for the American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives for the 2025-2026 term. With her leadership, AAOE enters a dynamic new chapter, guided by a newly appointed board of directors focused on advancing orthopedic practice management across the nation.

Allyn’s election reflects both her professional excellence and her long-standing contributions to the field of orthopedic practice leadership.
