MORGANTON, N.C. — A large emergency response at UNC Health Blue Ridge’s Morganton campus concluded Sunday afternoon with a suspect in custody and authorities confirming there are no ongoing threats to the hospital.
The incident began around 11:50 a.m. on Sunday when emergency crews responded to the hospital located in Burke County. During the initial response, Morganton Public Safety advised the public to avoid the area while crews addressed the situation.
