Never has a nickname been more appropriate. Once Nick Foles returned to the Philadelphia Eagles and led the team that drafted him to Super Bowl glory, it was official. Saint Nick… That says it all. It has a significant tone to it. The name is also mentioned in conjunction with one of our favorite holidays.

As the other ‘Saint Nick’ is credited with riding on a sleigh led by reindeer, Foles is the only man walking who can say he was the first quarterback to start for Philadelphia and win football’s biggest game.

That night in February, Super Bowl LII was a gift that keeps on giving to Eagles fans. Philadelphia has two Lombardi Trophies now, but you know what they say.

You never forget your first.

Foles was recently given another honor. He will be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. This is yet another feather in the cap for what has been a respectable football career.
