PS Plus Users Surprised With Big Discount on All Tiers
Sony is rolling out a new PS Plus discount offer for July 2025 that covers all tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium/Deluxe. A whopping 40% is being knocked off of the price tags until August 21, 2025. As usual, the discount is being randomly offered to select players, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll get the offer.
New PS Plus July 2025 discount applies to all plans, but there’s a catch
Users across the globe are reporting that they’ve received the discount, including members from the U.S., U.K., and European countries. What’s more is that the 40% discount applies to all plans: 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.
No Sony offer is without a catch, however. As usual, the discount is being randomly offered to select players, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll get the offer. I’m a long-time member and have not received the offer myself.
The one thing all users who’ve received the discount have in common is that their memberships were expired. However, the length of time they’ve been without a PS Plus subscription varies.
One member claims they received the offer on an account that hasn’t had PS Plus since 2018, for example. Another member claims their subscription expired two months ago, and they received the same offer.
I highly recommend that players head over to the PS Store and utilize this discount now if they’ve received it despite its expiry date being in August. Sony often pulls PS Plus deals ahead of time, and PS Support offers no help.
