Celebrity stylist Law Roach shares his top spots in Chicago – NBC Chicago
Celebrity stylist and Project Runway judge Law Roach shared his favorite spots in the city in a recent interview. Roach nominated West Loop for the best neighborhood in the City, calling it the “perfect location.” “Tao on a Saturday night is a really great dance party,” Roach said of Chicago’s best spots for dancing. “You can’t come to Chicago and not have Harolds Chicken,’ he said.

A native Chicagoan, Roach had much to say about his opinions on the best places for food, fun and more in Chicago.
Here’s a look at Roach’s top spots in Chicago:
Best neighborhood:
Roach nominated West Loop for the best neighborhood in the City, calling it the “perfect location.”
“There’s so much activity, there’s so much life,” he said.
Best restaurants:
“Chicago food is very, very interesting because we have hole-in-the-walls all the way to like three-star Michelin restaurants,” he said.

Roache’s top spots for dining are Soul Vibez and Harold’s Chicken, and for pizza specifically he recommends The Italian Fiesta and Home Run Inn.
“You can’t come to Chicago and not have Harolds Chicken,” he said, adding his recommendation for the six-piece with mild sauce and salt and pepper.
Best bars:
Lazy Bird and the Rooftop at the Godfrey are Roach’s favorite bars in the city.
Best spots for dancing:
“Tao on a Saturday night is a really great dance party,” Roach said.
Best clothing store:
Roach said his top spot to shop in Chicago is Ikram, a store he always dreamt of shopping at while growing up.
Most stylish people in right now:
Roach’s pick for most stylish people in America – apart from the people he works with — are local hosts of the podcast “Ghetto Runway,” Alonzo Jackson and Marcus Dane.
“I’m also a fan of Tracee Ellis Ross and myself,” Roach said.
