The SBA offers two different aspects of the program, such as the physical disaster and the homeowners’ disaster. For those with businesses and non-profits that have experienced damages can apply and receive up to $5,000, and for those with homeowners disasters can apply for up to $100,000 to recover from property damage.
Many people are encouraged to act quickly, and it’s important to know about all the possible resources out there to help you and your family.
“People can use the money from these loans to recover from the impacts of this disaster. I think it’s because a lot of people do not know that the SBA is here on the ground to provide assistance, and so the more people are aware of this program, the more they’re able to bounce back up on their feet as quickly as possible,” says Yabsira Adera, a Public Relations Specialist for SBA.
The deadline to apply for the physical damage loan is july 21, 2025, and February 23, 2026, for the economic injury. To apply, visit www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance.
