Employees at lawn care business owned by Rapides Police Juror deported by ICE
KALB spoke with Rapides Parish Police Juror for District G Sean McGlothlin on Sunday, July 27. He said five of his employees were detained by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday, July 25. He claims they were deported due to bad paperwork.
McGlothin, who has owned and operated SLM Lawn Care for over 30 years, said he and his employees were cutting grass at a local restaurant early Friday morning when they were approached by ICE agents.
He said each of five of his employees were detained and have since been deported to Mexico.
McGlothlin said he has spoken with his employees, and claims they were deported due to bad paperwork.
McGlothin said he has since been in contact with an immigration lawyer and intends to help his employees return to the United States with new work visas.
