President Trump opened in a new golf course in Scotland on Tuesday as he prepares to wrap up his trip abroad on a personal note.

Trump told those gathered at his course in Aberdeen that he was headed back to Washington, D.C. later in the day to “put out fires all over the world.” In addition to a blitz in economic news, Trump is handling wars in the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine in which ceasefires have become out of reach in both situations.

Trump heads home to face four days of economic reports, meetings and potential trade deals. White House trade talks are intensifying ahead of a Friday deadline for “reciprocal” tariffs, and there will be a Wednesday decision on interest rates from the Federal Reserve.

Then there is the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. On Monday, Trump seemingly broke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the situation, with Trump acknowledging there was “real starvation” happening.

The Jeffrey Epstein saga also continues to dominate. Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell has appealed her conviction to the Supreme Court, and Maxwell’s attorney has appealed to Trump for a pardon. Trump pushed back on reports that he had a closer than previously known relationship with Epstein. And Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is demanding that the Justice Department turn over all recordings, transcripts and notes from its interviews with Maxwell.
