MIAMI — A 37-year-old hair colorist whose celebrity clients have included Hailey Bieber and Sophie Turner was released from jail Friday after being accused of sexually preying on a 15-year-old girl in Miami.

Ryan Pearl did not speak to reporters as he left the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, instead running away as he was being asked if the accusations against him were true.

According to Officer Mike Vega, a spokesman for the Miami Police Department, police officers arrested Pearl at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 2600 block of South Bayshore Drive in the city’s Coconut Grove neighborhood.

County inmate records show Pearl was booked shortly after 4:10 a.m. on Thursday at TGK near Doral.

According to police officers, the teen’s mother was “concerned” over deposits on her daughter’s Apple Wallet account, and she found the nature of their communication “alarming.”

“During controlled conversations, Pearl made sexual remarks and sent explicit photographs, fully aware he was communicating with a minor,” a detective wrote in the arrest report.

Pearl, a Redken brand ambassador, first met his victim as a 13-year-old client, according to police. Records show he is from New Jersey, and has lived between Miami and New York. His profile shows he has worked at IGK Salons and Ollin Miami.

“I was furious, I was very upset. I couldn’t believe someone that has a reputation, and works in a very luxury hair salon was capable of doing this,” the victim’s mother said.

MPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit and the Tactical Robbery unit worked together to arrest Pearl after he agreed to meet with the teen and bring “condoms and vaping devices,” according to police.

Pearl was also in possession of pink cocaine and admitted to asking the victim if she would be his girlfriend, police said. He appeared in bond court on Thursday, and a judge ordered him to stay away from the victim.

Pearl faces charges of cocaine possession, contributing to the delinquency of a child, using a computer to seduce a child into engaging in sexual conduct, traveling to meet a child after using a computer to lure them, and two counts of transmitting harmful content to a minor electronically.

He was released Friday on a $26,000 bond.
