The district magistrate made this announcement while addressing representatives of all recognised political parties, electoral registration officers (EROs) and other stakeholders at a meeting.
According to the draft list, the number of electors in the district’s 14 assembly constituencies stands at 46,51,694. Claims and objections can be submitted from Aug 1 to Sept 1.
The DM said of the previously registered 50,47,194 electors, 92.16% or 46,51,694 voters have been included in the revised draft. The remaining 3,95,500 names were excluded due to reasons such as death, absence, permanent relocation or prior multiple registrations.
He informed the gathering that, based on suggestions from political party representatives, booth level officers (BLOs) would be present at all polling stations from 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
During these special camps, eligible citizens whose names do not appear in the draft roll may submit Form 6, the declaration form (Annexure-D) and other necessary documents. Similarly, for name corrections or transfers, electors can submit Form 8 along with the requisite forms.
To assist disabled and elderly voters unable to attend the camps, BLOs will collect application forms directly from their homes. Voters from any part of the district may submit their forms at any polling station-based camp.

The DM expressed satisfaction over the cooperation extended by political parties during the revision exercise. He said all 5,665 BLOs and 527 BLO supervisors have been trained for the campaign, along with all 14 EROs, who underwent training from the election department team.
He reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in election-related duties. “Action has already been taken against 11 BLOs for lapses during the revision process. Three FIRs have been lodged, nearly eight teachers have been suspended and three anganwadi workers dismissed,” he said.
