Battlefield 6 Players Are Tearing Each Other Apart Trying To Figure Out If A Streamer Is Cheating

Battlefield 6 has been inundated with cheating attempts, despite EA’s anti-cheat software being relatively successful at weeding them out. Many people have taken it upon themselves to name and shame these individuals rather than just let Dice do its thing and handle it. A streamer called RileyCS has been banned on Twitch, though likely due to the mass report system being abused, rather than Twitch itself stepping in over cheating allegations. Despite all of this, Battlefield 6 players are now locked in heated arguments over whether RileyCS is cheating or not, with both sides posting up a storm on Twitter.

Every multiplayer game has cheaters in it, that is just a fact of life. There’s not really much you can do to stop at least a few slipping through the cracks, and Battlefield 6 is no exception. Yes, even though it literally just launched in beta, Battlefield 6 has been inundated with cheating attempts, despite EA’s anti-cheat software being relatively successful at weeding them out.

There are some that make it through though, and for some reason, many people take it upon themselves to name and shame these individuals rather than just let Dice do its thing and handle it. It’s always best to leave cheating allegations to people with experience, otherwise you may end up falsely accusing someone, which is potentially what’s happened to a streamer called RileyCS.

Battlefield 6 Fans Are Arguing With Each Other Over A “Cheating” Streamer

Over the past few days, a Twitter post from RileyCS went viral, in which the streamer showcases their extremely impressive aiming skills. It looks almost supernatural, but one specific part of the video has now been brought to focus, with people using it as “proof” that RileyCS is using an aimbot.

The clip in question is right at the start, and features RileyCS doing a 180-degree turn to shoot at a person behind them, only for there to be a rock in the way. To be fair, my first instinct was that it was pretty sketchy, but the whole situation became a lot less clear-cut when many pointed out you can actually see the enemy in question on RileyCS’s minimap. It’s very plausible that someone with their skill could do a 180-degree turn and shoot them based solely on minimap location.

Of course, it doesn’t clear RileyCS of any wrongdoing, but they did later post more clips with a handcam, and claim to have done a stream with their task manager open to show no cheating software was being used. I say claim, because RileyCS has been banned on Twitch, though likely due to the mass report system being abused, rather than Twitch itself stepping in over cheating allegations.

Despite all of this, Battlefield 6 players are now locked in heated arguments over whether RileyCS is cheating or not, with both sides posting up a storm on Twitter. It’s all a bit of a mess, and quite honestly, it’s a problem for Dice to sort out, not every random Joe with a Twitter account. If RileyCS hasn’t been banned on Battlefield 6 (which they haven’t) after this much scrutiny, then there’s probably no wrongdoing.
