It’s Your Last Chance to Buy a Ford GT
Ford has announced the end of production of the GT Mk IV track model. Most of the planned 67 units have already been spoken for. The track model debuted in 2023 and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter EcoBoost V-6. It’s capable of cornering at over 3 Gs and generates 2,400 pounds of downforce at 150 mph.
Today, Ford announced the final production wave of the GT Mk IV. With most of the planned 67 units already spoken for, the company will open order books for the remaining few examples over the next few weeks. For what it’s worth, Ford doesn’t say exactly how many are left.

Each GT Mk IV is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, producing over 820 horsepower—enough to launch it from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.0 seconds. For comparison, the standard road-going GT used a smaller 3.5-liter V-6 making 660 hp.
Built on a custom carbon-fiber chassis from Multimatic, the Mk IV features an array of aerodynamic upgrades that help it generate more than 2,400 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. It’s also capable of cornering at over 3 Gs. Multimatic’s Adaptive Spool Valve dampers, adjustable from the cockpit, further enhance on-track performance.
Of course, this level of engineering doesn’t come cheap. Each GT Mk IV carries a price tag of around $1.7 million. And once these final units are gone, production of the Ford GT will end for good.
