Measles made an unwelcome return to Kansas this year. As of Wednesday, August 13th, there were 90 confirmed cases across the state.

The county and state use a timeline of 42 days, two incubation cycles to determine the end of a measles monitoring period. Thursday marked 39 days since the state’s last confirmed measles case. Sunday, the outbreak will be considered resolved.
