Eintracht Frankfurt will play Borussia Dortmund in the second round of the DFB Cup. The match will be played at the Allianz Arena in Frankfurt. The exact dates and kick-off times are still to be confirmed. The draw was made on Sunday evening at the German Football Museum.
Eintracht Frankfurt will face Borussia Dortmund in the second round of the DFB Cup. Former FIFA referee Dr. Felix Brych and vice president of the German Football Association (DFB) Peter Frymuth made the draw on Sunday evening at the German Football Museum in Dortmund, setting up a rematch of the 2017 cup final.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Getting Dortmund in the second round of the cup is a cracking draw. We’re really looking forward to a proper cup battle in our stadium. We’re determined to reach the round of 16.”
Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “In being drawn against Borussia Dortmund we’ve been given a tough but also attractive tie. It’ll be a top game in the second round of the cup and we’re really looking forward to it. We’ll do everything we can to advance to the last 16 in our own stadium.”
Matches will be played on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 October. The exact dates and kick-off times are still to be confirmed by the DFB.

Mainz lead the race for Bøving
Mainz are on the verge of completing the signing of Denmark U21 striker William Bøving. FC Augsburg and Girona are also working on the transfer of the 22-year-old. The transfer fee will be €3 million plus add-ons.

After qualifying for the league phase of the UEFA Conference League, Mainz 05 look to reinforce their attacking line with the transfer of William Bøving from Sturm Graz. The move also followed the news of a serious injury to Benedict Hollerbach, who earlier joined the 05ers from Union Berlin.
Fellow Bundesliga side FC Augsburg and Girona are also working on the transfer of the 22-year-old, but Mainz are leading the race. Sky report the transfer fee will be €3 million plus add-ons.
Mainz reached full agreement with the club, but discussions are still ongoing with the player. Bøving scored 11 league goals when Sturm Graz successfully defended their Bundesliga title, and he started all eight games in the league phase of the Champions League.

DFB Pokal 2nd Round – Get German Football News
The draw for the second round of the DFB Pokal was made today. The games will be played from the 28th to the 29th of October. Eintracht Frankfurt will play Borussia Dortmund. 1.FC Köln host Bayern Munich, and Stuttgart travels to Mainz. Illertissen, who are in the fourth tier, will play Magdeburg. Werder Bremen were the only Bundesliga team to fail to qualify for the next round.
In the first round, there was one major shock, with Nürnberg losing to Illertissen on penalties, while Werder Bremen were the only Bundesliga team failing to qualify for the next round after losing to Arminia Bielefeld.
There were several close calls for Bundesliga sides, however, with 1.FC Köln needing extra time to beat Jahn Regensburg, Bayern Munich needed a late winner to beat Wehen Wiesbaden 3-2, while VfB Stuttgart needed penalties to beat Eintracht Braunschweig.
The draw for the second round has produced several interesting all-Bundesliga ties. The standout being Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund. While 1.FC Köln host Bayern, and Stuttgart travels to Mainz.
The lowest-ranked side left in the competition, Illertissen, who are in the fourth tier, will play Magdeburg.

The Champions League match calendar for the league phase has been finalised. There are six Premier League teams involved in the competition for the first time.
