Facilities ramped up at two Navi Mumbai venues for protesters
Since Friday, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has deployed 10 water tankers at the exhibition centre and four at the market. There are plans to add five more at each venue, said NMMC chief Kailas Shinde.

He said 250 toilets have been set up at the exhibition centre, which are being maintained by 30 personnel working in three shifts and a municipal engineer. Another official said 10 sanitation workers are at the onion-potato market. Additionally, 150 bathing taps have been installed. Six waste transportation vehicles have been stationed at the exhibition centre and two at the market. Four ambulances are on standby. Besides, 20 beds have been reserved at all hospitals under NMMC. —B B Nayak
