The heir to the British throne opened up about his challenging experience with Emmy-winning actor Eugene Levy for season three of the Apple TV+ travel series “The Reluctant Traveler.”
“I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” William told Levy in a preview of the upcoming episode.
In March 2024, his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, shared revealed she would undergo chemotherapy teatment after post-abdominal surgery tests discovered an unspecified form of cancer.
Weeks earlier, his father-in-law, King Charles III, announced he was also receiving treatment for an unspecified form of cancer after recieving a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.
The preview also teased footage of the Prince of Wales giving Levy a tour of Windsor Castle quipping “we provide this service for everyone.”
The “Schitt’s Creek” also revealed William had watched “American Pie,” where Levy played father Noah Levenstein.
“He had seen it with some of his buddies, which was interesting and yet not surprising,” Levy told USA TODAY earlier this month. “It would’ve been shocking if he had no interest in seeing it.”
He added: “He’s just a regular guy. He just struck me as being so down-to-earth that it just bodes well for the future of the monarchy.”
