RAVE to the three young adults who bought our breakfast at the Bellevue IHOP. They left a note saying it was in memory of their grandmother, who had recently “moved to heaven” and they missed very much. We were so stunned, and they disappeared before we could thank them properly. I hope they know we appreciated their thoughtfulness.

RANT AND RAVE Rant to Seattle Public Schools spending millions of dollars on a beautiful new building for Montlake Elementary, but not funding proper teacher support. Rave to the Montlake PTA for stepping up where the district hasn’t. Its strong advocacy and proactive search for solutions show what real community leadership looks like. When the system stalls, it’s inspiring to see parents and educators push forward.
