Ryan Wolfe, 26, has been missing since the night of Sept. 22, leaving his family deeply concerned for his safety. Wolfe was last seen by his mother, Katie Brown, while watching TV at their home. He mentioned plans to visit a friend before heading to work, but never arrived at either destination. Brown discovered the next day that Wolfe had a falling out with an ex-girlfriend and was very depressed about the situation.

Brown revealed that her son has a history of depression and had sent concerning texts to his sister and ex-girlfriend the night he disappeared.

“I honestly cannot think of any situation where he would just be going out of town somewhere and not contacting anybody that he knows and not showing up to both jobs,” Brown said. “He was definitely in a very depressed state when he left.”

Wolfe, described as a homebody who only goes out for work or to spend time with his son, left in his gray 2011 Ford Fiesta. No one has seen or heard from him since 11 p.m. that night. Brown and her family have searched all possible locations and checked his room, but found no clues. “We have no leads at all, he hasn’t contacted anyone that he knows,” Brown said.

Brown fears for her son’s mental health or that he may have been in a car crash. The Redding Police Department is investigating, reviewing Wolfe’s phone and bank records, and collecting DNA samples as a precaution.
