Fluffy Grandpa Corgi Proudly Herds Mom to Toy Bin To Show off Cool New Toy

Senior Dog Corgi Hudson is a master herder. Corgis are innately good at doing whatever gets them praise. Sometimes the payoff is successfully herding someone where they want them, and they’ll wait for you to tell them what a good job they did. Like Hudson, they’re sweet and ridiculously smart, with a deep love of their people. And maybe their toys, which they’ll happily guide—or herd—you to see! The hop dances are the very thing that get his nearly 400k TikTok followers through a day, and I must say, their legs are stumpy and perfect.

Some talented pups were born with an inherent need to work. Each one’s individual strengths are heavily influenced by their breed, and when possible, they love showing off what they can do.

For instance, Senior Dog Corgi Hudson is a master herder, like many of the Corgi kind. But that doesn’t mean he’s out in a farmer’s field rounding up all the cattle. His job is a little easier, herding Mom into the living room so he can show her his favorite new toy (and he’s the cutest)!

As captioned, “A very important show and tell,” the fluffy paint puff potato is so proud to lure an “unsuspecting” Mom to his wares. The excited little hops that show off all his “floof” make the scene even better. I don’t know anyone who could resist a guy like Hudson!

“Hello… ahm … your loaf is moving … just FYI,” one person joked about Hudson’s stout stature. Others shared stories about their Corgi’s herding tactics, like one who wrote theirs “heads straight for the toy box at our house.” As an adorable little Senior Dog, I’d let Hudson herd me wherever he wanted.

When the woolly-eared, short king isn’t working hard at herding, his tiny hop dances are the very thing that get his nearly 400k TikTok followers through a day, and I must say, they’re spectacular—mostly because his legs are stumpy and perfect. 13/10, no notes.

Corgis Are Excellent Herders

Not all Corgis get the chance to showcase their herding abilities on a farm, so sometimes they have to make do and herd other things, like Mom. My sassy Pembroke Welsh Corgi is the same way. She makes no hesitation when it comes to corralling the cats… and sometimes our children!

As a people-pleasing, energetic, and happy-go-lucky kind of breed, Corgis are innately good at doing whatever gets them praise. They live for it. Sometimes the payoff is successfully herding someone where they want them, and they’ll wait for you to tell them what a good job they did (mine does).

Like Hudson, they’re sweet and ridiculously smart, with a deep love of their people. And maybe their toys, which they’ll happily guide—or herd—you to see!
