Starting June 3, United Airlines’ check-in cutoff time for domestic flights will change to 45 minutes before departure, a spokesperson for the airline said in an email to the Desert Sun.

“The change brings greater consistency for our customers by aligning with our current checked baggage deadline and the check-in policies followed by most other airlines,” according to United Airlines.

This is a change from United’s current 30-minute check-in limit, according to Newsweek.

The airline redirected the Desert Sun to their website for more information about check-in time limits, which can vary at other airports outside the United States.

Travelers are informed by United’s website that the airline will do its “best to find another option” if they don’t meet the check-in time limits.

“However, we have the right to deny service which may result in cancellation of your reservation, denied boarding or the option to check your bags,” according to United.
