OKC police detail what led to arrest of Midtown shooting suspects
All three suspects face nine counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and one count of using a vehicle to facilitate a shooting. Before the shots were fired, a 23-year-old woman got into a fight with two others, but that was broken up in less than a minute. Six minutes later, a car drove by and shots fired, into a crowd of people. An arrest affidavit said witnesses heard the woman who was in the fight on the phone saying she would “have her man come over and shoot the spot up” Two days later, police said the car was found abandoned and burned. It also had a bullet hole and evidence that someone had tried to set the car on fire. The shooting happened outside a Midtown bar during a Thunder playoff game. The incident happened a month ago, but new documents revealed what happened the night seven people were shot, and two others were hurt by glass near The Collective, a popular bar and restaurant. The Collective says staff treated two gunshot victims after the shooting.
