Trillium Health will host annual fundraiser “The White Party”
Trillium Health is selling tickets to its annual fundraiser The White Party. The fundraiser, first held in 2013, supports people living with HIV/AIDS. Trillium has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for those in need from more than 600 guests. Drag queen Mrs. Kasha Davis will appear at the fundraiser. It will be held from 7 to 11pm on June 1st at the Mercantile on Main.
The White Party, first held in 2013, supports people living with HIV/AIDS. The World Health Organization that as of 2022, 39 million people worldwide had HIV. Trillium says that The White Party has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for those in need from more than 600 guests.
Jason Barnecut-Kearns, Trillium’s president and CEO, and Dr. William Valenti, a co-founder of Trillium, joined Good Day Rochester on Thursday to discuss The White Party, Trillium’s work, and the fight against HIV.
“Trillium is focused on serving under-served communities, especially LGBTQ+ people,” Barnecut-Kearns said. “We look to remove those barriers to healthcare, should it be housing, transportation, or food insecurity. And then there’s primary care, pediatrics, and pharmacy services.”
“The White Party is the way we feed into our patient care fund,” he added.
“It’s a lot of fun for a good cause,” said Valenti. “This community has a long history of supporting the AIDS cause and Trillium health.”
The White Party offers food, dancing, music, and drag shows. Drag queen Mrs. Kasha Davis will appear at the fundraiser. But the fun has a serious purpose.
“We’re doing it to stop the AIDS virus,” said Valenti. “We want to end the HIV epidemic, and a fundraiser like this helps us do it.”
Wearing white at the White Party is encouraged, but Valenti says attendees can wear what they like.
In addition to supporting care for people who currently have HIV and preventing future cases, the White Party memorializes people who have been killed by HIV/AIDS.
The White Party will be held from 7 to 11pm on June 1st at the Mercantile on Main. Tickets for The White Party are available at .

Trillium Health’s first White Party was held in 2013. Over the years, the event has grown to more than 600 guests and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support communities in need.
William Valenti MD, co-founder of Trillium Health, said the White Party is a time to remember those who have died from HIV and AIDS, as well as celebrate the medical strides that have been made to end the epidemic.
“It’s also a time to reaffirm our commitment to preventing the spread of HIV through education, prevention and treatment,” he said.
