THREE. TWO. ONE. METEOROLOGIST SABRINA BATES HERE WITH AN UPDATED SEVERE WEATHER TIMELINE FOR TODAY. YOUR. SUNDAY, JUNE 8TH. WE ALREADY HAVE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH. THIS IS ABOUT TWO, 3:00 THAT THIS WAS ISSUED IN THE AFTERNOON. THIS IS FOR NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA INTO NORTHERN OKLAHOMA. THIS GOES UNTIL 9 P.M., BUT I AM EXPECTING ANOTHER WATCH TO BE ISSUED FOR THOSE REALLY STRONG WINDS LATER THIS EVENING. AND LATE TONIGHT THAT WILL BE SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA. SO THIS IS JUST THE FIRST WATCH OF THE DAY. AGAIN, MIDDLE PART OF THE AFTERNOON. SO WE’RE TAKING A LOOK HERE AT THE THREAT FOR TODAY. YOU’RE LOOKING AT A LEVEL FOUR MODERATE. THIS IS SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA INTO FAR SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. WE STILL HAVE THAT ENHANCED THOUGH FOR THE OKC METRO UP INTO NORTHERN OKLAHOMA WHERE THAT SLIGHT IS. SO DON’T FOCUS ON THE EXACT CATEGORY. YOU STILL HAVE A THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER REALLY ACROSS A LOT OF THE STATE. SO DAMAGING WINDS. THIS IS THE MAIN THREAT THAT WE’RE WATCHING WITH THAT COMPLEX FOR TONIGHT. A LOT OF WINDS 70 TO 80 MILES AN HOUR. THAT INCLUDES THE METRO. I WOULDN’T BE SURPRISED IF WE SAW WIND GUSTS 80 TO 90 MILES AN HOUR. THAT WILL BE ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA. HAIL SIZES. THEY’RE GOING TO BE LARGE, ESPECIALLY PARTS OF NORTHERN OKLAHOMA. WITH THESE STORMS EVEN OUT THERE ALREADY THIS AFTERNOON, UP TO ABOUT TENNIS BALL SIZED HAIL. TORNADO THREAT HERE YOU’RE LOOKING AT A FOUR ON THE SCALE OF 1 TO 10. GENERALLY IT IS A BIT MORE ON THE LOWER SIDE. I THINK THAT DAMAGING WIND THREAT IS GOING TO BE A BIT HIGHER. WALKING THROUGH PREDICTOR WITH THE LATEST DATA AND GUIDANCE THAT IS COMING IN, WE’RE GETTING TO ABOUT AGAIN THREE 4:00 WATCHING FOR SOME STORMS, NORTHERN OKLAHOMA AND THEN SOME STORMS THAT FORMED OFF A BOUNDARY TOWARDS THE SOUTHWEST. SO BETWEEN REALLY NOW AND 7:00, STILL EXPECTING SOME OF THOSE ISOLATED STORMS WITH THAT SEVERE WEATHER THREAT AGAIN BETWEEN ABOUT NOW AND SEVEN. BUT THEN ONCE WE GET TO ABOUT FIVE, 6:00, I’M WATCHING CLOSELY WESTERN OKLAHOMA FOR STORMS TO DIVE IN. GENERALLY, THIS TIMELINE IS PUSHED SLIGHTLY LATER. SO WE’RE WATCHING AGAIN THAT SEVERE THREAT WITH HIGH WINDS. FAR WESTERN OKLAHOMA. BUT THEN WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH FOR SOME OF THESE STORMS TO INCH CLOSER TOWARDS I-35 IN THE METRO. LIKELY AFTER FIVE, BUT EVEN MORE SO AFTER SEVEN EIGHT, 9:00. YOU’LL SEE HERE BY ABOUT 910 STORMS STARTING TO PUSH THROUGH THE METRO. HERE WE’LL GET PAST I-35 BY 11:00 MIDNIGHT, AND THEN WE’RE GOING TO BE GOOD TO HEAD TO BED FOR TONIGHT. SO THAT’S THE LATEST. WE’LL KEEP YOU UPDATED HERE OVER ABOUT T
