“My dog!!! I’m coming back for sure,” Kelce said in a text message to ESPN’s Pat McAfee on Feb. 27.

Kelce recently attended his cousin’s wedding alongside his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The ceremony was held in Knoxville over the weekend, but it wasn’t the only one they were invited to in span of a couple of days.

The three-time Super Bowl champion was invited to Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet’s wedding on Saturday but wasn’t able to attend. It’s clear love is in the air lately, as Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth announced on Monday that he’s now engaged to his girlfriend, Jillian Cataldo.

Freiermuth took to social media to share photos from his very special day in Boston, Massachusetts.

“Forever with you sounds good to me… cannot wait to marry you Jillian❤️💍,” Freiermuth captioned his post.

Kelce came across the post like many others. While it’s possible he texted Freiermuth privately to congratulate him, he didn’t leave a comment. He did, however, share a reaction with a like.

Kelce hasn’t been shy about sharing his love for Freiermuth’s game on the football field.

“No, Pat [Freiermuth] is actually, he’s one of my favorite tight ends to watch, man,” Kelce said in December on an episode of “New Heights.” “He’s savvy in his route running. He is very quarterback friendly, which he knows angles coming out to where he knows he can get a guaranteed catch and quarterbacks (expletive) love it with you come out of your breaks with certain angles, depending on where the defender closest to you is.”

Freiermuth is entering his fifth NFL year after being drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft. The former Penn State Nittany Lion recorded 65 receptions for 653 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

After a very public feud with Scooter Braun, four re-recorded albums, and a record-breaking tour inspired by said re-recordings, Taylor Swift officially owns all her masters now. And thank goodness for that, because as a Scorpio woman filled with copious amounts of rage, I need to be able to listen to Reputation and “Picture to Burn” guilt-free. Plus, I love seeing Scooter lose <3. Travis Kelce, the pop legend’s BF and No. 1 fan, is unsurprisingly thrilled about this development. We all know the supportive king’s favorite Taylor album is 1989, and, uh, we all know how 1989 (Taylor’s Version) turned out… I’m sure he’s very excited to listen to the OG “Blank Space” and “Shake It Off” on repeat. Naturally, The Guy On The Chiefs yapped about the major update on his podcast, New Heights: Here’s how Travis Kelce reacted to Taylor Swift buying back her masters.

Travis Kelce’s New Heights Quotes About Taylor Swift’s Masters

On the June 4 episode of their football podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce were joined by Shaquille O’Neal, who is apparently a Swiftie. I love that for him. During the episode, Shaq said, “Hang on, I gotta show you something,” and started playing “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone. The former basketball star enthusiastically lip-synched every word, claiming it’s his “favorite song in the world,” and Travis laughed and danced along to the track.

“Shout out to Tay Tay,” the tight end said, noting, “Just got that song back too. Just bought all of her music back so it’s finally hers. Man, I appreciate that, dog.” (One person in the comments section pointed out: “I’m sorry, did Travis just instantly recognize that as the OG and not TV??” That’s a trained ear right there.)

When Taylor first shared the exciting news on Instagram, Travis swiftly (see what I did there) “liked” the post. In her announcement post, the singer directed fans to her website, where she’d shared a handwritten letter about the news. “All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs…to me,” Taylor wrote. She also now owns the music videos, photography, art, and films associated with her discography. Taylor added, “The memories. The Magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life’s work.”

I’m still patiently waiting for Taylor to make her New Heights debut. It’s gonna happen. It has to happen.

Major news emerged unexpectedly from global music icon Taylor Swift on Friday morning. She posted a photo of herself on Instagram, urging fans to visit her website and read a heartfelt letter — one filled with long-awaited and emotional revelations.

The 35-year-old officially announced that she has regained ownership of all her music and masters, a milestone reportedly secured for $360 million, according to “Billboard.”

In the letter, Swift wrote: “I’m trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow. All of the music I’ve ever made… now belongs… to me.” She continued: “All of the music videos, all of the concert films, the album art and photography, the unreleased songs. The memories. The magic. The madness. Every single era, my entire life’s work.”

The full statement can be read on her website:

What instantly made waves, however, was how quickly Kansas City Chiefs star tight end — and Swift’s boyfriend — Travis Kelce reacted to the post. He wasted no time liking the photo, though he couldn’t leave a comment, as Swift had turned off the comment section.

He even appeared on stage during one of her record-breaking “Eras Tour” shows in London, where the crowd erupted as he joined her wearing a tuxedo and top hat to assist with a performance.

While they’ve kept a low profile for most of 2025, Friday’s exciting announcement — combined with the start of NFL offseason training — suggests fans will likely be seeing a lot more of Swift and Kelce in the coming months.
