Woad and Williams helped lead the Seminoles to a program-best third place finish in the NCAA Championship Finals. Woad is the No. 1 golfer in Florida State history with a 70.42 stroke average for her career. Williams completed her four-year career as a Seminole by earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May of 2025. To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore athletically and have a cumulative 3.50 GPA to be considered. The honor for both students marks the second time both have earned the prestigious academic honor.

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State golfersandhave been named to the Academic All-District team as selected by the College Sports Communicators. Woad and Williams helped lead the Seminoles to a program-best third place finish in the NCAA Championship Finals and to the first ACC Championship in school history while earning exceptional marks in the classroom.The honor for both Woad and Williams marks the second time both student-athletes have earned the prestigious academic honor. Woad has been named as a CSC Academic All-America finalist and will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.Woad is the No. 1 golfer in Florida State history with a 70.42 stroke average for her career and a five-time First-Team All-American on the course. The 2024 Augusta National Amateur Champion is also a two-time top 10 finisher at the NCAA Championship finals. Woad finished in second place in the individual standings at the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships and in eighth place in the NCAA Division I Championships in 2025. She was named the 2024 ACC Golfer of the Year and is a three-time All-ACC selection as a Seminole. Woad is majoring in sport management.In addition to being ranked as the No. 1 women’s amateur golfer the world, Woad has been named to the 2023 and 2024 WCGA All-American Scholar Team, the 2023 and 2024 All ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team, the 2023 and 2024 ACC Academic Honor Roll, to the Florida State University Academic President’s List (fall of 2023) and to the FSU Academic Dean’s List three times – most recently during the spring of 2025.Williams, who completed her four-year career as a Seminole by earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May of 2025, is ranked in the top 20 in school history for stroke average and helped the Seminoles advance to the finals of the NCAA Championship in each of her four seasons at Florida State. She carded her career-best score of 66 in the third round of the 2025 Florida State Match Up. She is tied for the all-time school lead with seven career match play wins and a 7-4 record in match play during her Florida State career.Academically, Williams has been named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team in 2022, 2023, and 2024, the to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team, to the 2024 ACC Academic Honor Roll, to the Florida State Academic President’s List once, and to the FSU Academic Dean’s List seven times including during the spring of 2025.To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore athletically and have a cumulative 3.50 GPA to be considered.
