HAGERMAN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —If you want to dive into Idaho’s western culture while enjoying some fine dining, a restaurant in Hagerman is the place for you!

“We opened May 11, 2025,” Morgan Kennan, the owner of Francesca West Wine and Dine, said.

Kennan said they opened the business just a month ago.

The name Francesca West comes from Keegan’s college days.

“My middle name is Frances after my grandma and my maiden name is Wettstein, so when I was in college that was like my alias name,” Keenan explained.

It became a kind of alter ego for her and led to the creation of the character that’s now the emblem of her restaurant.

As you walk into Francesca West, you’re greeted by Wild West décor and history.

“Like over here, this is all my great grandpa’s on my mom’s side and then all these ones on this back wall, that’s my dad actually,” Keegan said.

She grew up on a cattle ranch, so the Western culture comes from her background.

Along with the theme, they offer dining options and drinks.

“Three proteins I have a pork, a chicken, and a tri-tip comes over a bed of rice or with a baked potato, a dinner salad, a lot of our salad dressings are made in-house,” Keegan listed.

You can also order what they call a “grazing board” like this, shaped as a cowboy boot.

Keegan says that something important about Francesca’s is bringing in local ingredients.

“The business model behind this restaurant is a farm-to-table model that includes a hundred mile radius of all of our sourcing,” Keegan said.

Beyond the food, Keegan hopes people can enjoy this trip back through her story and her family’s history.

“Being able to tell a story to people too that I haven’t met you know it establishes a good connection.”

The business is located at 260 South State Road in Hagerman.
