Police say the shootout started as an argument among a group of people. One man was shot and killed outside the apartment building. Another man was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover.
The call came in around 10 p.m. Thursday, June 19.
Officers were sent to the Whispering Lake Apartments near 43rd and Northern Avenue on reports of a shooting.
When police arrived, they found one man shot and killed outside the apartment building.
Officers then found another man, also struck by gunfire, who was rushed to the hospital. He is expected to recover.
Police say the shootout started as an argument among a group of people when someone pulled out a gun.
