Twin County Reginal Healthcare opens new mental health program.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is the first I-O-P in the area. The center will focus on treating people who are facing depression and post-traumatic stress Disorder. The program will have a bus to help bring those in need to the center.
The program’s creation was a year in the making and is the first I-O-P in the area.
The center will focus on treating people who are facing depression and post-traumatic stress Disorder and helping those who are going through their mental health crises.
Now that the center is operational, community members will have access to mental health treatment close to home.
“That’s really exciting that we get to meet that need for folks who are really struggling and who do need some help with coping with, whether it’s depression or anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, that we want to be there for those folks,” Program Manager Catherine Burcham said.
One of the special features of the program is that it will have a bus to help bring those in need to the center.
