The IDF said on Saturday morning that the air force had killed a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Friday.

“Aminpour Joudaki [was] the commander of the second UAV brigade of the IRGC Air Force,” the statement read. “As part of his role, Aminpour Joudaki advanced hundreds of UAV attacks against Israeli territory from the area of Ahvaz in southwestern Iran.”

“Following the elimination of Taher Pour, the commander of the UAV headquarters of the IRGC Air Force on June 13, 2025, Joudaki assumed a key role in the headquarters’ operations.”

Israel has claimed that Saeed Izadi, head of the Palestinian division in the Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force, had been elimibated in an overnight strike in the Iranian city of Qom.

“Saeed Izadi, a founder of the Iranian regime’s plan to destroy Israel, was eliminated in a precise IDF strike in the area of Qom,” said the Israeli Defence Forces posted on X.

Israel Defence Minister, Israel Katz, had earlier confirmed Izadi’s death in overnight Israeli strikes in Qom.

This comes as Iran and Israel have entered its second week in the ongoing conflict. Israel’s army chief warned that the country could be engaged in a “prolonged campaign” against Iran.

Who was Saeed Izadi?

Mohammad Saeed Izadi served as the commander of the Palestine Corps within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s elite Quds Force and was a central figure in managing Iran’s operational and logistical support to Palestinian militant groups, primarily Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

He also focused on rebuilding Hamas’ military wing, ensuring it remained the dominant authority in Gaza.

According to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Centre, he played a major role in smuggling weapons, providing funding, and training terror groups in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Israeli military identified Izadi as a key coordinator between the Iranian regime and Hamas and one of the main architects of the October 7, 2023 attack, which resulted in 1,200 deaths and triggered a deadly war in Gaza claiming over 54,000 Palestinian lives.

“He was responsible for military coordination between the senior commanders of the IRGC and the Iranian regime with key figures in Hamas. As part of his role, Izadi was responsible for increasing the financial funding from Iran to Hamas for terrorist activities against Israel,” the Israeli military stated.

Additionally, Izadi is believed to have strengthened ties and coordination between Palestinian factions, Hezbollah, and the former Assad regime in Syria.

■ The Israeli Air Force assassinated Saeed Izadi, the head of the Palestine Corps in Iran’s Quds Force, a branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a strike in the Iranian city of Qom, the IDF announced. ■ The air force has intercepted several drones launched from Iran since Saturday morning. Two drones failed to be intercepted; one struck a residential building in northern Israel’s Beit She’an, and another struck an open area in the Negev, southern Israel. There were no casualties. A fire, from an interception, broke out in the Golan Heights, in northern Israel.

■ The air force struck missile and drone launchers at Iran’s nuclear site in Isfahan and intercepted 40 drones launched from Iran overnight into Saturday, the IDF reported.

■Three people wounded in a missile strike in Haifa on Friday afternoon remain hospitalized at the city’s Rambam Hospital, according to its spokesperson. One person is in serious condition and the other two are in moderate condition, according to the statement.

■ The Israeli Air Force assassinated the commander of the Quds Force’s Weapons Transfer Unit in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Behnam Shahriyari, in a strike on his vehicle overnight in Iran, the IDF announced. Shahriyari was responsible for all of the weapons transfers to Iran’s proxies in the Middle East and oversaw the transfer of hundreds of millions of dollars to terror groups via Turkey and Lebanon, the statement said.

■ At least 430 killed, 3,500 wounded in Iran since start of war with Israel, according to Iranian media outlets.

■ Iran detained 22 people on suspicion of spying for Israel, according to the pro-regime ISNA news agency, citing local intelligence police.
