A family secret: Wife ‘missing’ for 2 months found buried near in-laws’ house in chilling murder coverup
Husband filed missing report, family claimed elopement with boyfriend. Police recovered the body after her father filed a complaint at the Palla police station. Initial police findings suggest the family meticulously planned the concealment. They dug the pit under the guise of constructing a soak pit to prevent waterlogging, covering it with plastic sheets. The body was buried late at night and the pit filled using an earthmover the next day, without involving any labourers. Residents reported no foul smell or disturbance, making the cover-up effective.
