This comes just a day after US President Donald Trump on Friday (Jun 20) warned that Iran had a “maximum” of two weeks to avoid possible American air strikes. He said that he was not inclined to stop Israel attacking Iran because it was “winning,” and said that “I’m giving them (Tehran) a period of time, and I would say two weeks would be the maximum.”

The US struck three nuclear sites of Iran reportedly with B-2 bomber jets after talks with the Islamic country to broker a nuclear agreement with Trump administration were unsuccessful. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement following the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and praised President Donald Trump, saying his “bold decision” will change history. Trump addressed the nation on Saturday at the White House and warned Iran against carrying out retaliatory attacks. “There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” Trump said.
In a video address after the American bomber jets struck three nuclear sites in Iran, namely Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, Netanyahu said “President Trump and I often say: ‘Peace through strength.’ First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, Donald Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.”

Detailing about the strike, Trump said that six bunker-buster bombs were dropped on one of the nuclear facility Fordow, while 30 Tomahawk missiles were launched against Natanz and Esfahan. Trump said that the strikes have left Iran’s nuclear structure “completely and fully obliterated”.
The Israeli prime minister further congratulated Trump in his address and said “Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history.”

Netanyahu said that Israel has done some “amazing work” after it launched Operation Rising Lion last week when it started its offensive against Iran’s nuclear facilities but “America has been unsurpassed – it has done what no other country on Earth could do.”
Netanyahu said that America’s strike at Iran’s nuclear facilities would create a “pivot of history that can help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace”.
