On Tuesday Shedeur Sanders was cited by police for driving 101 MPH after midnight, and to make matters worse, it wasn’t the only time the Browns rookie QB had been pulled over for speeding in Ohio.
Earlier this month, the ex-Colorado star was allegedly stopped for going 91 in a 65 MPH zone — both of which resulted in tickets.
Now Shedeur’s brother Shilo has weighed in, poking a little fun at his baby brother while filming a Tampa food tour vlog.
“I know we out here in Tampa, [but] we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,” the Bucs safety laughed.
While speeding tickets are relatively common and something many of us have encountered at some point when we were behind the wheel— it’s definitely not a good look.
Especially when you’re a first-round talent at quarterback that dropped all the way to the fifth due to decision-making and maturity concerns.

Shedeur was already on pretty thin ice as the second quarterback taken in the Browns 2025 draft and this didn’t exactly help his situation.
Hopefully the young star is able to put this behind him and continue the trajectory he was on prior to this news coming out— even if his brother finds some amusement in it.
Shedeur Sanders’ NFL brother makes fun of him after recent trouble
Shedeur Sanders is the son of Hall of Fame legend Deion Sanders. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Sanders has been in trouble with the law recently, getting two speeding tickets. His brother, Shilo, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, where he was picked 144th overall.
While late-round picks already face long odds, that’s especially true for Sanders, despite being the son of Hall of Fame legend Deion Sanders. It doesn’t help that there are three other quarterbacks ahead of Shedeur on Cleveland’s depth chart, and they were all acquired this offseason.
However, Sanders hasn’t helped his cause by getting into a bit of trouble with the law. Specifically, he got a pair of speeding tickets earlier this month.
Shedeur’s recent driving record even drew some criticism from his brother, Shilo, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I know we out here in Tampa we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here.”
Shilo made the comments while appearing in an episode of his Tampa Food Tour, where the Buccaneers’ rookie can be seen getting a taste of his new football town.
While Shedeur may not find the comments to be too funny, it’s clear Shilo was simply giving his brother a hard time after his recent run-ins with the law.
Tales like this are common in the offseason when players aren’t completely focused on their football careers. Yet, Shedeur has already made a strong impression on his coaches in Cleveland. Though, the Browns would likely prefer he makes more headlines on the field than off.

Buccaneers’ Shilo Sanders roasts Shedeur Sanders over speeding tickets
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie defensive back Shilo Sanders is poking fun at his brother Shedeur. Shedeur Sanders has twice been cited for speeding since he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft. Shilo made light of that fact in a recent episode of his YouTube podcast. Both players played for their dad, Coach Deion Sanders, at Colorado. The Buccaneers agreed to a deal with Shilo after he wasn’t drafted in 2025.
“I know we out here in Tampa we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,” Shilo said jokingly on the YouTube show. He made the comments in a video titled Tampa Food Tour.
In both instances, Shedeur Sanders was driving well over the speed limit. He was pulled over on June 5 for going 91 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone, per Yahoo Sports. Then on June 17, he was going more than 100 miles an hour in a 60 mph speed limit zone.
“He is taking care of the tickets,” Cleveland Browns spokesman Peter John-Baptiste said, per Cleveland.com.
Browns fans certainly hope so. Shedeur Sanders is seen as a possible future starter for the Browns. He was one of two quarterbacks drafted by the team in this year’s draft, with Dillon Gabriel.
