Lions legend Barry Sanders headlines the list of celebrities teeing it up alongside the PGA Tour pros. Others participating in the pro-am include U.P. social-media star Old Time Hawkey, NASCAR driver Noah Gragson and TikTok star Jordan Kerr. Wednesday marks the first day of public access at the Rocket, with free admission and parking.
But there still will be an opportunity for fans to catch a glimpse of some local sports heroes during Wednesday’s Rocket Classic pro-am at Detroit Golf Club.
Lions legend Barry Sanders headlines the list of celebrities teeing it up alongside the PGA Tour pros Wednesday, and he’ll be joined by current Red Wings Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat, current Lions kicker Jake Bates, former Lions kicker Jason Hanson, Lions long snapper Hogan Hatten, Pistons assistant coach Sidney Lowe, new Michigan State athletic director J Batt, and Jerome Bettis, a Detroit native and, like Sanders, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Others participating in the pro-am include U.P. social-media star Old Time Hawkey, NASCAR driver Noah Gragson, TikTok star Jordan Kerr, and Hailie Jade, daughter of Eminem, and her husband, Evan McClintock.
Wednesday marks the first day of public access at the Rocket, with free admission and parking. Parking is at Detroit Mercy, and a free shuttle is provided.
The tournament begins Thursday, with tickets starting at $73 and available at RocketClassic.com.
