Orlando Bloom is expected to attend Jeff Bezos’ extravagant wedding celebration in Italy without fiancée Katy Perry, intensifying ongoing speculation that the couple may be facing a rough patch.

The British actor, 48, will be among the celebrity guests at the three-day event in Venice from June 24 to 26, but Perry is staying behind in Australia to continue her Lifetimes tour.

With her performance dates locked in for June 22, 23, and 26, Perry’s scheduling conflict means she will miss the entire wedding weekend.

According to TMZ, Bloom’s presence is already generating buzz, with one insider calling him “the life of the party” and saying he is “gonna hit the dance floor hard.”

The same source hinted that Bloom may link up with Leonardo DiCaprio for a night out, while another guest noted that only “10 per cent” of attendees are bringing the fun, and that includes Bloom.

While their absence as a couple at such a high-profile event has turned heads, it is not the first time questions have surfaced around Bloom and Perry’s relationship.

Career setbacks have added pressure behind the scenes

In recent months, Katy Perry has dealt with professional frustrations that reportedly created emotional strain at home.

Her seventh studio album 143, released in September 2024, received underwhelming reviews, with some critics calling the music formulaic and uninspired.

“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed,” a source told People.

“Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”

Adding to the challenges were reports that some of her tour stops had lackluster reviews, which added further pressure.

“She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It’s put stress on their relationship,” another source shared.

Despite the public distance and career pressure, insiders have pushed back on talk of an imminent breakup.

“The rumors of a rough patch are true, but it’s not at the point of no return,” one person close to the couple told the Daily Mail.

“They know they must fix things, and they both want to figure it out.”

Although Bloom has not yet visited Perry on tour in Australia, both reportedly remain committed to working through their issues.

They simply have not had time to properly sit down and address everything due to conflicting schedules and parenting responsibilities.

The couple’s history has seen ups and downs before. After meeting in 2016, they broke up briefly in 2017 but reunited the following year.

They became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020.

Bloom also shares a son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

More recently, Perry had taken part in a Blue Origin flight with Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez and even joined her Paris bachelorette party, signaling a close friendship.

Still, it is Bloom who will be representing the couple at the wedding, while Perry remains out of the spotlight-at least for now.

Whether Bloom’s solo appearance is just a result of bad timing or a reflection of deeper cracks remains to be seen.
