The Federal Trade Commission has cracked down on Epic Games charging Fortnite players for unwanted in-game purchases and some of that money will be refunded to gamers.
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the FTC announced more than $126 million in refunds for Fortnite players who were charged for purchases they didn’t want to make.
In addition to the refunds making their way to players’ bank accounts, the FTC also said it is reopening the process to submit a claim that stems from its 2023 settlement with Fortnite developer Epic Games.
This isn’t the first round of refunds in the Fortnite settlement. The first round in December 2024 totaled more than $72 million to over 629,000 players.
