After nearly two months of testimony, the sex-crimes trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs is nearing an end.
Since May 12, jurors in Combs’ trial have heard from more than 30 people, including celebrities, former girlfriends and employees, as prosecutors laid out their case accusing the embattled music mogul of leading a criminal enterprise.
The frequently graphic testimony included allegations of physical and sexual violence against Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura Fine and others. Multiple people testified that they witnessed Combs physically abuse Ventura Fine, and several witnesses spoke about the infamous 2016 incident where Combs was seen on video assaulting her at a hotel.
Combs has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
Combs’ defense opted not to call any witnesses and rested after less than 30 minutes. The rapper himself did not testify.
