Crews clear vehicle fire that slowed interstate traffic
Crews responded to a vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. on the Interstate. 10 minutes later, at the same stop, a vehicle caught fire. The vehicle fire stopped traffic on the right shoulder of the northbound lanes.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation reported the vehicle fire was cleared on Exit 42 of Interstate 555 at 5:25 p.m. Thursday, June 26.
Initially, crews responded to a vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. on the Interstate.
The Arkansas Highway Incident Report stated crews cleared the crash at 4:40 p.m.
Not even 10 minutes later, at the same stop, a vehicle caught fire.

Jonesboro E-911 Dispatch told K8 News that the Arkansas State Police is working the crash.
