Every fashion week circuit beckons the reward of a starry celebrity turnout. This past men’s spring/summer 2025 season in Milan and Paris was no different, made all the more sweeter after knowing the collections they watched unfold on the runway as well. In the Italian fashion capital, old merged with the new; Fendi’s soft, earthy palette mixed with menswear codes from the 20th century. Playful notions of clothes that were already scrunched up, lived-in and simply ‘alive’ were seen at Prada, and then at Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe show.

Indeed, the privilege to glean a first look at these marvellous creations is not lost on anyone. And as with every passing season, the who’s who of each maison’s esteemed guestlist is increasingly paid attention to, with the celebrity clientele of each house often a focal point of the buzz outside the shows. For the recent menswear shows, both front row familiars and fresh fashion faces have been spotted in the crowd.

To watch Silvia Venturini Fendi’s creations for spring/summer 2025 go down the runway, Bang Chan of Stray Kids made his first fashion week appearance, even chatting up The Idea of You star Nicholas Galitzine along the way. No doubt Prada called to the Fondazione Prada some of the hottest Asian names as of late, from Lovely Runner’s Byeon Woo-seok to house ambassadors Win Metawin and Twice’s Sana. Jaehyun of NCT 127 also was in attendance, and he wasn’t the only member from his group to make an appearance at the men’s circuit, as Doyoung and Yuta also made their way to Dolce&Gabbana and Louis Vuitton respectively. Speaking of Louis Vuitton, the house kicked things off in Paris with a glitzy turnout. Think everyone from global ambassadors Bam Bam and Jackson Wang to Sabrina Carpenter and Seventeen’s The8.

Jonathan Anderson’s Dior Debut Welcomed Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter, & More

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna flew to Paris to catch the runway show. Donatella Versace, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Daniel Roseberry, Simon Porte Jacquemus, and Stefano Pilati were also in attendance. The Northern Irish designer showcased his far-reaching and highly-referential collection of menswear in Paris on Friday afternoon. The buzz is now even louder ahead of his inaugural womenswear offering later this year. The show was one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the year, and the guest list for today’s show was equally epic. A$AP wore a pale denim button-down with a uniform-style logo front tie, while Rihanna opted for a pistachio-hued vest, white shirt, and reversible embroidered parka. No doubt, the history-making silhouette, first introduced in 1947, will provide Anderson with many jumping off points when he builds out his womens wear.

The eagerly-anticipated Jonathan Anderson debut at Dior Homme drew not just celebrities, but a cheerleading cohort made up of the industry’s most prominent fashion designers, too. The Northern Irish designer showcased his far-reaching and highly-referential collection of menswear in Paris on Friday afternoon. Judging by the response to his initial vision, the buzz is now even louder ahead of his inaugural womenswear offering later this year.

Undoubtedly one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the year, the guest list for today’s show was equally epic. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna — and bump! — flew to Paris to catch the runway show, both kitted out in runway-fresh pieces. Rihanna is a notable fan of Anderson’s. In 2023, when she performed at the Super Bowl, she revealed her second pregnancy in a custom red boiler suit by the designer. Later that year, the high profile couple also gave him the thumbs up when they stepped out to walk their baby in co-ordinated his-and-hers Loewe anagram logo track tops.

The rapper, meanwhile, first collaborated with Anderson’s JW Anderson line back in 2016. Through his clothing line AWGE, the pair worked on a range of tracksuits, teddy coats, and knits. Ever since, the New York-native has been a card-carrying member of the Anderson fan club.

As some of the first tastemakers to show off Anderson’s Dior Homme to the world, the couple shone a light on the designer’s penchant for shirting and how he artfully tweaks simple items to make them feel desirable and current. A$AP wore a pale denim button-down with a uniform-style logo front tie, while Rihanna opted for a pistachio-hued vest, white shirt, and reversible embroidered parka.

While many A-listers flocked to Venice for the year’s most lavish wedding, there was no way that fashion industry royalty and Anderson diehards were missing today’s milestone.

Read on to see who touched down for the show.

Sabrina Carpenter

The petite pop star looked ladylike and elegant in a take on Monsieur Dior’s nipped-in bar jacket and a pleated skirt in grey houndstooth wool. No doubt, the history-making silhouette, first introduced in 1947, will provide Anderson with many jumping off points when he builds out his womenswear.

Pharrell

Someone who knows the high stakes associated with sharing your first collection on the world stage is Pharrell. The multi-hyphenate, creative director at Louis Vuitton, also shares a boss with Anderson: LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault. Williams brought along his wife Helen Lasichanh and son Rocket Ayer Williams for the chic family day out.

Robert Pattinson

A longtime Dior Homme face and ambassador, the English actor looked right at home in the laissez faire suiting and a leather collar chocolate brown bomber jacket — one which is sure to top both guys’ and girls’ wishlists very soon.

Donatella & More

You know it’s a seismic event when the industry’s most influential creative directors fly in. Among the crowd today was Donatella Versace, who brought Anderson under her wing as her protégé back in 2012 when she enlisted him to shake up Versus Versace. Also in attendance were Pierpaolo Piccioli, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Daniel Roseberry, Simon Porte Jacquemus, and Stefano Pilati.

Alison Oliver

The nods to his homeland were abundant, so it was only fitting that Anderson would ensure that prominent Irish actors were among the first to wear his Dior designs. Alison Oliver of Saltburn and Conversations With Friends fame, who also appeared in last year’s Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza campaign, was a natural fit.

Oliver even had a reunion with her Conversations With Friends co-star, Joe Alwyn, who was sitting front row too.

Zoë Bleu Sidel

The first to show off the Bram Stoker’s Dracula version of the Dior Book Tote that was doing the rounds in teaser images last week? That would be Zoë Bleu Sidel, emerging actor and stylist and daughter of Rosanna Arquette.

Drew Starkey & Daniel Craig

Anderson’s relationships run deep. Actors Starkey and Craig initially met Anderson on the set of Luca Guadagnino’s Queer, which had enlisted Anderson as costume designer.

Mike Faist & Josh O’Connor

Similarly, Faist and O’Connor were muses to Anderson — as was Zendaya — when he oversaw the costume design on Guadagnino’s tennis-centric film Challengers.

Additionally, O’Connor has starred in no shortage of Loewe campaigns over the years. In fact, he’s currently the face of the Fall/Winter 2025 series, lensed by Gray Sorrenti. (And yes, Sorrenti was in attendance today, as well.)

Mia Goth

Giving more of a sense of what’s to come with his womenswear offering, indie screen favorite Mia Goth stepped out to support in grey pleated silk.

Sam Nivola

The White Lotus newcomer has already been tapped by Anderson to feature in Dior Homme’s nascent campaigns and visuals, as evidenced by a short clip shared on social media right after the show.

Anderson’s Dior Spring/Summer 2026 show will take place during Paris Fashion Week this October.

Rihanna played the supportive partner out in Paris this weekend.

The singer attended the A$AP Rocky x American Sabotage by AWGE menswear spring 2025 show to support her beau — the father of her two children, RZA and Riot . For the occasion, Rihanna opted for a white minidress that looked like the high-fashion version of a classic white tank top, complete with garter elements at the hem.

Despite the warm weather, she layered with a burgundy puffer jacket, taking care to show off its white feather lining. Beneath the cropped jacket, an army green garment and a piece of red and grey fabric peeked out, adding dimension to the singer’s look. Rihanna wrapped up her ensemble (quite literally) with a pair of white leather heels, which saw silver-studded straps wrap around her feet and ankles.

The Fenty Beauty mogul brought the distressed look of her outfit full-circle with her accessories. Seemingly channeling the 2010s, she wore a gold choker chain and three delicate cross necklaces, as well as a number of diamond cuff earrings and studs. She carried a bedazzled white purse and threw on a pair of bold red aviator sunglasses as she left the show.

Her glam mimicked the era of her jewellery with a bold hair look — a stark contrast to how she styled her natural hair during the Fenty Hair launch party earlier this month. Single-handedly bringing back an indie sleaze classic, Rihanna wore her dark hair long and straight, highlighted with platinum blonde streaks in a deep side part.

She complemented the look with vampy make-up, including a smokey eyeshadow and glossy burgundy lip, which matched her cropped jacket. Inside the event, Rihanna sat front row to see the designs created by her other half, and could be seen proudly taking pictures and videos from her seat.

American Sabotage Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear: A$AP Rocky’s Takedown of the American Dream

A$AP Rocky presented his first collection for his new brand American Sabotage. The rapper-turned-designer used his debut show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week to critique the U.S. Other guests included Rihanna, Maluma, Pusha T., No Malice and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton scion Alexandre Arnault. The show was held in the gilded rooms of Karl Lagerfeld’s former residence, while the scene outside was chaotic as spectators lined the streets to get a glimpse of Rihanna and other celebrity guests. The coed collection played on these proportions in cropped blazers and belly-baring suits for women, and oversize suit jackets for men topping multi-waist trousers. Other looks featured a grotesque caricature of Uncle Sam flashing dual middle fingers screen-printed on a rabbit’s fur, its legs still splayed, pinned to the back of a camo jacket. The juxtaposition of suiting and T-shirts emblazoned with 1865 was meant to draw attention to the current state of an exploitative economy.

A$AP Rocky may look like he’s living the American dream as part of one of the world’s biggest celebrity couples, but the rapper-turned-designer used his eagerly anticipated debut show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week to critique his country.

With his new brand called American Sabotage, presented under his creative agency AWGE, Rocky’s first collection was a pointed takedown of the political and economic structures of the U.S.

The show was held in the gilded rooms of Karl Lagerfeld’s former residence, while the scene outside was chaotic as spectators lined the streets to get a glimpse of Rihanna and other celebrity guests.

She made a last-minute entrance, then filmed the action with her phone from her front-row seat. Other guests included Maluma, Pusha T., No Malice and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton scion Alexandre Arnault.

Designers also came out to support Rocky’s first foray onto the runway, with Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson and Willy Chavarria turning out for the extravaganza, while Pharrell Williams dropped in backstage before dashing off to a dinner he was hosting across town.

From the first looks that emerged to the distorted strains of the “Star Spangled Banner,” it was clear that the elements of the designs were off-kilter.

A slim-cut business suit turned out to be backless. That quickly gave way to Rocky’s take on layering, with plays on the sagging-pants hip-hop style interpreted to the max. Three or four boxer-short bands peeked out from under jeans, and multiples of waistbands were stitched together to create a miniskirt.

The coed collection played on these proportions in cropped blazers and belly-baring suits for women, and oversize suit jackets for men topping multi-waist trousers. Upside-down bomber jackets were a key shape, zipping up from the bottom and leaving the neck exposed.

“It was inspired by just poverty every day that I saw, mass incarceration, tax,” he said backstage after the show, describing the collection as “political satire.”

“We’ve got different political satire, and it’s just about telling my story through that,” he said. “Hopefully I didn’t commit treason.”

A look with a tattered American flag as a skirt. Courtesy of AWGE

The performer put his First Amendment rights to good use, turning a tattered American flag into a skirt, and employing a crisper version in place of a bandanna under a baseball cap.

Desecrating the American flag has a long history of controversy, becoming legal via a Supreme Court decision in 1989, though bills to ban it are frequently reintroduced in Congress.

Other looks featured a grotesque caricature of Uncle Sam flashing dual middle fingers screen-printed on a rabbit’s fur, its legs still splayed, pinned to the back of a camo jacket.

The juxtaposition of suiting and T-shirts emblazoned with 1865, the year slavery was abolished in the U.S., was meant to draw attention to the current state of an exploitative economy, Rocky said.

“Basically, it is about capitalism,” said the rapper, who is also a brand ambassador for Bottega Veneta. “I think people capitalize off of mass incarceration, obviously. So, that’s just how it intertwines.”

Some looks had models carrying garbage bags full of money, while others were toting sacks full of what appeared to be trash carried like a yoke across the shoulders or clutched in a fist.

A look from A$AP Rocky’s American Sabotage collection. Courtesy of AWGE

One look was directly inspired by Rocky’s observation of a homeless woman carrying a haul of plastic bottles in a large transparent bag, a scene from New York City’s Cortlandt Alley that he’d captured and showed on his phone.

The models were not carrying detritus, however. Instead, bean bag seating pulled from his Hommemade interiors collection was made to look like full trash bags.

When John Galliano showed a collection inspired by homeless people in 2000 it was a fountain of controversy, but Rocky recalled his own youth. “I grew up in a homeless shelter, so I just felt that it was necessary,” he said.

Elsewhere, he took the crux of hip-hop style and pushed it forward with an apocalyptic bent, including face coverings made out of bandages, or a model toting a protest-ready gas mask.

“Don’t Be Dumb,” the title of his forthcoming album, was writ large on a T-shirt-shaped sculpture, seemingly suspended on the model’s chest, and a flesh-colored bodysuit was covered with crumpled — and strategically placed — shopping receipts.

Many items were upcycled and repurposed, Rocky said, which could be seen on NYPD sweatshirts, USMC T-shirts and DEA baseball caps.

The most obvious nod to his perspective were T-shirts blaring the words “Political Satire.” Couched digs at the American dream such as a T-shirt with photos of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King juxtaposed with Barack and Michelle Obama reading “Dream Realized,” or a bar code labeled “Product of Social Security,” were more effective.

A look from A$AP Rocky’s American Sabotage. Courtesy of AWGE

It may be satire, but Rocky takes the business very seriously. There was plenty of merch with the brand’s name — baseball caps, branded T-shirts printed with bulletproof vests, and boxing trunks emblazoned with the slogan “American Sabotage.”

He partnered with Alpine Cars — with three flashy models on display at the entrance — Puma, Ray-Ban and Shopify on this collection, some of which was immediately for sale.

The new album, which will drop on Aug. 30, also became available for preorder at the end of the live broadcast of the show. The runway served as a secret listening party of sorts for some of the new tracks.

After the show, guests sipped Champagne and were served slices from cakes that were shaped like cocaine kilos and rolled dollar bills, or Glocks and AK-47s with signs that read: “It’s easier to buy a gun than a cake.”
