Prayers are pouring in after a motocross star died in an accident at 16 years old this weekend.

Aidan Zingg, a 16-year-old racer from California, died in a race on Saturday, June 28. MX Sports confirmed the tragic news over the weekend.

The amateur motocross community suffered a devastating loss this past weekend on Saturday, June 28, and the entire MX Sports racing family is extremely saddened by the loss of Aidan Zingg, age 16, from Hemet, California. Recently, Aidan had qualified for his seventh-straight year to compete in the most prestigious amateur motocross event in the world, the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championship, held at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Aidan first competed at The Ranch in 2019, and every year since then. In 2024 Aidan earned his first-ever AMA National Championship in the Supermini 2 (13-16) class and earned second in the Supermini 1 (12-15) class. Aidan, who has been known for his determination and outstanding talent, had just signed with Team Green Kawasaki for the 2025 racing season and was set to make a major impact as he made the move to the “B” classes and Schoolboy 2 class at Loretta’s.

Tributes for Zingg are pouring in on social media over the weekend.
