Chicago won 97-86, with Reese and frontcourt partner Kamilla Cardoso leading the way. The All-Star forward finished with a monster double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds, to go along with six assists and four steals.

Cardoso, for her part, led the Sky in scoring with 27 points, along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Kelsey Plum and Azura Stevens combined for 41 points for the Sparks, but a poor fourth quarter showing saw them lose the double-digit lead they built early on.

In the process, Reese also made history, as she surpassed Candace Parker for the most double-doubles in a player’s first two seasons in the WNBA with 34. Only Tina Charles has more with 45, although the Sky star is well on track to surpass that mark.

On her Instagram Stories, she shared a post from ESPNW highlighting her historic feat, while writing in the caption, “ELITE COMPANY.”

Furthermore, that’s not the only history Angel Reese made. She also became just the fourth player to record at least 15 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a single game, joining WNBA legends Candace Parker, Tamika Catchings and Tina Charles.

While it was Kamilla Cardoso who was declared Player of the Game for the Sky, there’s no denying that Reese was equally impactful in the win.
