After lawnmower larceny, Orlando man back in business thanks to News 6 viewers
Kyle Lukowski lost thousands of dollars in lawn care equipment to theft last month. Lukowski supports himself and his mother through his lawn care business. Local resident Mary Grishaw donated a lightly used riding lawnmower after seeing Lukowski’s story on News 6. Sean Beck of ATH Trailer Sales in Melbourne provided Lukowski with a brand new trailer, complete with fresh paint, new rims, and tires to help restart his business operations. He plans to store his equipment in a locked storage unit when not in use, preventing future theft attempts.

“I’ve been trying to get it to someone who could really use it, and I hadn’t found that person yet, so I’m glad I finally did,” Grishaw said. The riding lawnmower, which belonged to her late husband, had only 50 hours of use.
The community response extended beyond the lawnmower donation. Sean Beck of ATH Trailer Sales in Melbourne provided Lukowski with a brand new trailer, complete with fresh paint, new rims, and tires to help restart his business operations.
Lukowski expressed gratitude for the unexpected support. “It’s very great to have some lady that I don’t know who wants to help other people out in the community,” he said while thanking Grishaw.
Following the theft incident, Lukowski says he plans to store his equipment in a locked storage unit when not in use, preventing future theft attempts.
The donations, ranging from equipment to monetary contributions, have helped restore Lukowski’s ability to continue his lawn care service. His mother, Jennifer Sexton, thanked everyone who has reached out to help.
“Thank you to News Channel 6 for getting results for me. And to everyone for donating and helping Kyle. From Sean at ATH in Melbourne to Mary over here. Very great giving people, and we couldn’t ask for better people out here. At least there are still good people in the community to make up for the bad ones,” said Sexton
As of the time of this writing, Kyle hasn’t quite reached his GoFundMe goal yet. You can still donate on the GoFundMe website.
