Bears cut could ties with new 26-year-old defender
The Chicago Bears signed cornerback Shaun Wade to a one-year, million-dollar contract. Wade has been in the NFL for the last four years and spent time with the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. Wade hasn’t played a snap for the Bears yet, and there is a chance he could be moved before the season.
Johnson should be able to get the Bears offense in the direction they are supposed to go, but the defense also added a little help as well.
One player the Bears added to the defense was cornerback Shaun Wade, who has been in the NFL for the last four years.
Wade spent time with the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens and has just signed a one-year, million-dollar contract with the Bears.
Even though Wade hasn’t played a snap for the Bears yet, there is a chance he could be moved before the season, and Ryan Heckman from Fansided thinks Wade could be a cut candidate.

“Once a promising, highly-touted cornerback prospect out of Ohio State, Shaun Wade has fallen far from grace. After three seasons with the New England Patriots as a fifth-round pick back in 2021, he spent a couple of months last year with the Chargers’ practice squad,” Heckman wrote. “Now, he tries to prolong his career in Chicago at just 26 years old, but seemingly buried by other talent at cornerback.”
Wade was supposed to be a high draft pick coming out of Ohio State in 2020, but after a down college football season, he fell to No. 160.
Perhaps Wade will make the Bears’ roster and attempt to get his career back on track.
