Reflection has been the default iPhone ringtone since the iPhone X. Named “ReflectionAlt1-EncoreRemix,” it’s definitely a ringtone with a recognizable, simple melody. The ringtone is hidden in the iOS 26 developer beta, meaning it’s not possible to set it as your ringtone in your iPhone’s settings. The iOS 26 beta also lets you set a custom ringtone without the annoying step of using GarageBand.

Reflection has been the default iPhone ringtone since the iPhone X, and for the vast cohort of users who don’t bother to change it (me included, though I always keep my iPhone on silent), it’s the most recognizable iPhone ringtone.
Now, X user @8810cfw has found a new version of the Reflection ringtone in the iOS 26 beta code. Named “ReflectionAlt1-EncoreRemix,” it’s definitely a ringtone, with a recognizable, simple melody, that has some similarities with the original Reflection but is also a bit more…mellow?
