A joint team from the State Forensic Science Laboratory and the National Forensic Sciences University is overseeing the process with care, striving to offer grieving families the clarity and closure they desperately need.

Far from being a mere technical exercise, the DNA matching process is being treated as a deeply humane effort. Each match represents not only scientific confirmation but also a gesture of dignity extended to the deceased and their loved ones.

Meanwhile, search and recovery teams remain on-site at the Meghaninagar crash location, meticulously combing through debris to retrieve personal belongings and body fragments.

Emergency responders are continuing their work with solemn precision, maintaining transparent communication with bereaved families.

The Tata Group has already announced a Rs 1 crore ex gratia payment to the family of each deceased passenger.

In addition, an interim relief of Rs 25 lakh has already been disbursed to families and the lone survivor. Tata has also pledged full medical coverage for the injured and committed funds to restore the damaged BJ Medical College hostel.

Specialised sniffer dogs are aiding in locating human remains, while Ahmedabad Police have deployed animal rescue units to safely remove stray dogs from the wreckage area.
