The airline also addressed recent social media commentary regarding its visibility at memorial services held for its employees. The airline clarified that senior representatives have been present at every such event, while taking deliberate care to avoid any disruption during private family moments.

To ensure the well-being of staff returning from Ahmedabad, Air India has mandated rest breaks and confidential professional counselling services. The airline continues to encourage employees to make use of the support available.

Addressing questions raised by staff over the past week, the Air India’s leadership reiterated its full cooperation with the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). While refraining from speculation, the airline confirmed it is providing all requested information and expects the AAIB to issue updates when appropriate. In the event of any urgent findings requiring action, the company expressed confidence that relevant guidance would be communicated swiftly.

On the operational front, the airline confirmed that its Boeing 787 fleet has passed precautionary checks requested by the DGCA, which has publicly declared the aircraft airworthy. In addition, Air India has chosen to maintain an enhanced level of pre-flight checks for now, and will not release any aircraft for service if there is any doubt about safety.

These additional safety protocols, combined with extended flight routes due to Middle East airspace restrictions, have led to a temporary reduction in flight schedules. Air India stated that this is a calculated step to maintain service reliability, with plans to gradually restore operations when appropriate.

The airline promised to remain transparent and professional in its communication and urged employees to continue focusing on their roles with care, empathy, and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
