All the celebrities who turned down The Traitors and the juicy reasons why
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes revealed she was invited to be in season three of The Traitors, but had to decline due to the health of her son. Nick Viall also revealed he was asked to join the cast during an episode of Viall Files, but “couldn’t make it work” as he “was booked and busy” Matt Rogers said he declined over concerns about getting “the villain edit” and “I’m too easy to cut into” Chrishell Stause said she would have been a Traitor and a Faithful.
Whilst for some celebrities being offered a place to star on The Traitors might be dream, for others they’re not so keen for one reason or another.

Nene Leakes
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed she was invited to be in season three of The Traitors, but had to decline due to the health of her son.
She explained on the Humble Brag With Crystal and Cynthia podcast: “I was asked to do Traitors – I was really excited about doing it, by the way.
“I couldn’t do Traitors because my son is in the hospital and he’s still in the hospital. My son’s been in the hospital since May.”
She continued: “I kept thinking maybe Brentt would be much better [by June]. My fear was committing and then having to go back to them and say, I can’t do it.
“So that was never going to work. Brentt was very sick. It was no way I could have committed to it. And I believe you have to go out of the country [to film the show].”
Nick Viall
Nick also revealed he was asked to join the cast during an episode of Viall Files, but “couldn’t make it work” as he “was booked and busy.” We love to see it.
Matt Rogers
Matt admitted that whilst he was offered a place on the show, he declined over concerns about getting “the villain edit.”
He explained more during an appearance on The Viall Files, saying: “I’m too easy to cut into. I will just give them so many clips that they could put together to be like, ‘this b*tch.’”
Bowen Yang
Matt also revealed that Bowen Yang had been offered a spot on The Traitors with him for season three.
He explained: “They had reached out to Bowen and I initially about season 3. The one Chrishell Stause was on.
“I know what would have happened had they put Bowen and I on the same season.
100 per cent one of us would have been a Traitor and one of us would have been a Faithful. We can’t have that. That would have gotten so sad.”
