SIT officials conducted the raid on the farmhouse, located at Kacharam village, Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district. Sulochana Farmhouse was owned by T. Vijayender Reddy, who was the director of a private hospital in Hyderabad. More raids were planned in multiple locations at Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
Acting on a tip-off, the SIT officials conducted the raid on the farmhouse, located at Kacharam village, Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district.
One of the accused in the liquor scam, who was taken into police custody after they obtained a non-bailable warrant (NBW) from the ACB Special Court, had revealed information on the cash dump while being questioned.
“We have seized ₹11 crore packed in 12 cartons and concealed in the farmhouse. The cash would be produced in court,” a police officer probing the liquor case told The Hindu.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Sulochana Farmhouse was owned by T. Vijayender Reddy, who was the director of a private hospital in Hyderabad.
“We are trying to find out whether the accused concealed money related to the liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or any other State,” a SIT official said, adding that more raids were planned in multiple locations at Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
