Apple Watch Series 10 now available at discount via Apple’s refurbished store
Apple’s refurbished store has added the Apple Watch Series 10. Only the 46mm model is in stock, but 42mm models will likely be added soon. The 46mm Apple Watch starts at $429 new, but you can get the same model for $359 refurbished. You’re currently better off buying a brand new model from Amazon.
Currently only 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 is available refurbished
Apple’s refurbished store provides the opportunity to buy products directly from Apple that have been certified for resale.
These products include a standard Apple warranty, return policy, and other perks.
Last week the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black titanium was added to the store alongside the latest Mac Studio, then shortly afterwards the M4 MacBook Air made its debut.
Now, as spotted by MacRumors, Apple Watch Series 10 has been made newly available.
Currently, only the larger 46mm model is in stock, but 42mm models will likely be added soon.
The 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $429 new, but you can get the same model for $359 from the Apple refurbished store, a $70 discount.
However, you’re currently better off buying a brand new model from Amazon, where it’s discounted to the same $359 price—at least for now.
There’s also more variety available on Amazon compared to what you can get from Apple refurbished. It’s hard to beat a brand new model for the same price as one that’s been used.

As of right now, Apple is only offering 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 models in either Jet Black aluminum or Slate titanium, but additional models in other colors and sizes will likely be added in the not too distant future.
Refurbished stock fluctuates based on what Apple is getting when people return devices or send them in for repair, so if you’re looking for a discount on a specific model, you may need to check back often.
Refurbished devices go through a rigorous refurbishment process prior to sale, according to Apple. Steps include functionality testing, cleaning and inspection, and repackaging. Apple does not offer refurbished Apple Watch models that require replacement parts, so all devices are in operational condition before refurbishment.
Apple’s refurbished products feature the same one-year limited warranty as newly purchased devices, and they are eligible for AppleCare+ coverage.
It is worth noting that third-party retailers like Amazon often offer better discounts on the same Apple Watch Series 10 models.

But those who want a 42mm Series refurb model are out of luck — Apple has none in stock in its refurbished store.
The smartwatch launched only a few months ago, and buying a refurbished unit knocks as much as 15% off the price of a new one.

But those who want a 42mm Series refurb model are out of luck — Apple has none in stock in its refurbished store. When it does, the model will sell for $339, down $60.
And the 46mm variants might sell out at any time, too. Check the Apple Certified Refurbished store to see what Apple Watch Series 10 versions are currently in stock.
Apple refurbs aren’t old junk
While some people hesitate at the idea of a used smartwatch, Apple refurbished products are a safe bet. The computer maker promises that every unit undergoes full functionality testing, and any necessary repairs are made. These often aren’t needed, though, as this is also the way the company gets rid of units that customers purchased and then brought back in the two-week return period, not because they were broken.
The units are cleaned and then repackaged in new boxes with appropriate manuals and cables.
There are many people who never buy new Apple products. They just wait until Apple refurbished units are available and pocket the 15% (or more) savings.
More about Apple Watch Series 10
Consider Apple Watch Series 10 both a way to keep constantly in touch as well as a fitness-oriented essential. Going way beyond measuring the wearer’s heart rate, the wearable can take an electrocardiogram, notify you if a loud environment might cause hearing damage, flag potential sleep apnea and provide ovulation estimates.
(Note: Apple disables the device’s blood oxygen sensor for U.S. customers due to an ongoing court case. There’s no word on when, or if, it will be re-enabled in newer models.)
