Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published his forecast for Apple’s headset and smart glasses business. He believes Apple views “head-mounted devices” as the next big thing in consumer electronics. The tech giant will release no fewer than 7 headsets and smart Glasses between now and 2028.

In his forecast, he says Apple will release an updated version of later this year, and that it will be powered by the upcoming M5 chip.
This will be followed by the company’s first smart glass in the 1st half of 2027. Later that year, it will release the rumoured Vision Air—a more affordable version of the Vision Pro.

In 2028, he thinks Apple will launch a second-generation Vision Pro that will feature a new and lighter design, and not one but two more advanced smart glasses.
